A 29-year-old entrepreneur in Kitwe has welcomed President-elect HAKAINDE HICHILEMA’s plan to establish a special fund for skills development and support to youth entrepreneurship.

In an interview with ZNBC News, BRIAN KASHIWA said Zambia’s economic future depends on how well the country supports its young people.

Mr KASHIWA has also called for flexible terms to make the funds easily accessible.

He believes this will allow more young Zambians to benefit and become self-employed.

Mr KASHIWA , who is building a technology venture aimed at bridging the gap between service delivery and society, said his work is driven by a desire to identify where technology is most needed in Zambian.

His comments come as President HICHILEMA unveils plans for a new special fund targeting skills development and youth entrepreneurship.

And Kitwe District Association of Persons with Disabilities Vice Chairperson MARTIN MWANSA said such initiatives will help create jobs for young people.
